UT Phased Array (PAUT) :

a. Purpose:

Through a series array elements by steering beam angle or dynamic focal length to detect and sizing the defect size in a wide area or in a specific area in 2D.

b. Principle:
    1) PAUT( Phased Array)

 2) Total Focusing Method (TFM)

 3) Phase Coherence Imaging (PCI)
PCI is an amplitude-free variation of TFM, which uses FMC data that is collected for the selected wave sets. The signal is processed so that only the phase information is conserved, and the amplitude is discarded. A TFM image is then created through the analysis of the phase dispersion of the delayed signals of the A-scan.
