Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)：
a. Purpose: To measure the corrosion and pitting of the ferro-metal on soil/material side of tank plate or inner side of piping.
b. Principle:
A set of magnet with magnetic sensors placed between the poles, During inspection, the magnetic field induced in the part saturates and most of them bypass the defects in the parts, while a few pass through the defects, and the rest of the magnetic flux leave the upper and lower of the parts, and the inductive reactance increases, and then the sensors can accurately measure the three-dimensional vector of the leakage field to measure the axial, radial, and circumferential components of an MFL signal.
c. Application:
Measure the corrosion condition of the thickness of the bottom plate of the storage tank, the detection thickness can be up to 16mm, and the scanning width can be up to 275mm, and the detection speed can be comprehensive detection.
